VTC has developed this system in response to the growing threat posed by vehicles in the security environment.
The UIS is designed to inspect the undercarriage of vehicles including SUVs and other vehicles. Its major systems include a wide angle specialist camera, waterproof/ballistic casing (optional), long range Gigahertz transmitter/receiver (which can be encrypted as required).
The UIS allows the operator to monitor the undercarriage of vehicles from up to a kilometre away. The UIS also doubles as a portable remote monitoring system, although this is not its intended use.
